The first Henley Beach Congregational Church building was erected in 1883, but by the early 1900s a larger church was needed. In 1920 a new building was planned at the front of the existing church by architect, Mr. Charles Rutt. The style was Byzantine — quite unique at the time. The new church opened in 1923. Afternoon tea is included at this event.
