After being welcomed members were given reports on the Society’s activities and finances for the previous year and time was allowed for members to ask questions and to elect members to the committee. Following this, author Gavin Scrimgeour presented a fascinating and informative talk about his acclaimed new book ‘From Here They Marched’ the story of the Mitcham Camp and the training of AIF Volunteers in South Australia from 1914 – 1918.
